Climate-Smart Farming in African Drylands wordless book

I was hired by a social enterprise called Ojoba Collective for a very interesting and rewarding project funded by Lush Cosmetics
Climate-Smart Farming in African Drylands is wordless book about new methods for subsistence farming in Northern Ghana. The book is both a story and instruction manual, a graphic novel and an infographic. Illustrating this 28-page booklet has been in turns challenging, inspirational, and rewarding. Read more in the captions about the narrative and instructional aspects of it, and scroll to the end to see some photos of the book at work in training sessions in Ghana.
The protagonist begins his journey to the city after his crops fail, carrying a begging tin with him. He encounters a surprisingly lush farm. After he expresses amazement, the elderly couple explain the four farming methods they implemented.
The benefits of each farming method are explained in further graphic detail. This "green" one is FMNR, which has to do with the use and benefits of trees.
The protagonist receives a seedling from his kind hosts and returns home to share the knowledge with his own family.
The how-to section for one of the methods: Zai pits.

The translator is showing an early draft of the book to a local Imam.
